From middle school to my 30s, I tried everything. This is my story of struggle, persistence, and finally finding what works.
I'm a guy who suffered from acne since I was young. For decades—from middle school all the way into my 30s—I dealt with not just acne, but also rosacea and other forms of dermatitis. My skin could get awfully dry with peeling skin, yet oily at the same time.
I've been told it's because I don't clean properly, don't wipe my face properly, don't shower properly, don't wash my bedsheets or pillow properly, don't use the right towel properly—or whatever "properly" means. The constant judgment made everything worse.
I tried using my mom's expensive cleanser and moisturizer. I tried my sister's products. None helped.
I went to skin spas where they misted my face, used supposed miracle creams, used needles to pop pimples, and used devices to suck out blackheads. Temporary relief at best.
I've seen Chinese doctors, drank bitter herbal drinks, and tried acupuncture. Some helped temporarily, but nothing lasted.
I've seen my family physician and used different dosages and concentrations of prescriptions. Some worked better than others, but the side effects were concerning.

I went through so much hardship. The physical pain was bad enough, but the emotional toll was devastating.
After decades of trial and error, I discovered that the solution wasn't in expensive products or complicated routines. It was about understanding my skin, being gentle, and using the right basic products consistently.
I learned about the importance of:
Now I want to help out, especially after seeing people with acne who feel they've tried everything and feel powerless. I know that feeling intimately.
This website is my way of sharing what I learned through decades of struggle. If even one person finds relief from what I share here, it will have been worth it.
